When should I call?

It’s the age-old question. You meet a girl you like and just can’t stop stressing, how long before I call?



Call too soon, and you may just scare her off.



Wait too long, and she may just forget about you and those feelings she developed about you.



So what’s the right answer?



Call sooner, rather than later. Why? One of the reasons I wrote my online dating book is because online dating is a completely different type of game than meeting a girl real life. And when it comes to making phone girls, online dating is certainly different as well. Allow me to explain.



The following are the top three reasons that you should wait no longer than two days to call a female that you met online:



1. For every one girl that is participating in online dating, there are dozens of guys trying to pick the same girl up. That means one thing. Competition. When guys see a beautiful girl online they all swarm her like locusts. Many of these girls get up to 100 or more emails per day! With all these guys contacting each girl, it is all the more important that you stay in contact before someone else swoops in and steals what you may have worked so hard for.



2. Due to the large amount of emails being received, it may be hard for the girl you are trying to date to remember you no matter how great your conversations were. You may have hit it off nicely during an Instant Message chat, or had a few nice email exchanges, but the longer you wait, the more she’s going to be engaging in conversations with other guys, and slowly forgetting about you, along with the spark you once created.



3. Waiting too long after your actual first date will make her wonder,

"is he ever going to call me?" In the mean time, while you are waiting around not calling because you don’t want to look desperate, she will still be receiving email after email and may eventually give up on you, and start getting to know someone else. Feelings may have been there, but now a new curiosity has been sparked, leaving you on the backburner. Don’t make this rookie mistake of waiting too long to call.



For all these reasons online dating should be treated differently than a girl you may have met at a bar or out and about on your daily routine. Step up to the plate before the competition throws a curveball right by you putting you back on the bench.
